Everything published on mailfixly.com is general information about common email problems. It is published in good faith and tested at the time of writing, but it is not personalised technical advice and cannot account for the specific state of your account.

You use the information here at your own discretion and risk. You are responsible for deciding whether a step is appropriate to your situation before you carry it out.

Accuracy and staleness

Email providers redesign their interfaces, rename their settings and change their recovery processes without notice and without announcement. A guide that was correct when it was reviewed can become inaccurate at any time.

Every guide shows the date it was last reviewed so you can weigh it accordingly, and we re-check guides when we learn an interface has changed. We do not warrant that any guide is currently accurate, complete, or applicable to your case. If a step does not match your screen, stop and tell us rather than forcing it.

We cannot recover your account

This is the most important limitation on this site. MailFixly is an independent publisher. We have no relationship with any email provider, no access to any account system, and no ability to influence a provider's decision.

We cannot unlock, restore, recover or access anyone's email account under any circumstances. Only the provider can do that, through its own recovery process. Some accounts cannot be recovered at all, by anyone, and where that is true our guides say so plainly rather than implying otherwise.

No affiliation with providers

MailFixly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by, or sponsored by Microsoft, Google, Meta, or any other company whose products we write about. We are not a support channel for any of them.

Product names, logos and trademarks referenced here belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the services under discussion. Their use does not imply any association.

Security guidance is not a guarantee

Guides on this site discuss account security, phishing and fraudulent sign-in pages, and some include tools intended to help you judge whether a page is genuine.

These are aids to judgement, not guarantees. A checker that confirms a web address matches a known genuine host has told you exactly that and nothing more; it has not certified that a page is safe. Always sign in on the provider's own site, never through a link in an unexpected message, and never enter a password on a page you reached from a third-party site, including this one.

We will never ask you for a password, recovery code or verification code. Any page or message that does so while claiming to be MailFixly is fraudulent.
